Hunt location #2: The URL for TRS Designs takes me to [Ichigo] Delight and Cafe Hangout, Alexandre (160, 228, 2801). No hunt poster present. I searched for TRS Designs but the teleport took me to an empty lot. Help?

ReplyDeleteYou should be looking for a star too but as most marketplace designers show their gifts it will easy for you to find them even if they didn´t put the star image on the gift.

DeleteDid compare gift pic with Sweet Dreams products and found other colors but not the one depicted. None had the star. Skipped this one for now.
DeleteYes, I´ve contacted her but still no answer. For some reason the hunt gift has been removed. I will add a note near the store so people know it´s not available there.
DeleteI found the hunt gift for Sweet Dreams after I logged into marketplace. Unlike the other marketplace vendors, the hunter has to be logged in to get the gift.
DeleteHunt location #8: The URL for JR Wolf Creations takes me to The Little Sideshow - Shopping District, Nuvoletta (139, 138, 29). A search for JR Wolf Creations did not indicate an in-world location. Should this be a marketplace URL?
ReplyDeleteThe slurl to the JR Wolf Creations store is http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Nuvoletta/176/190/29 It might teleport you to the middle os the sim but you can always opne your map and place the coordinates on it to follow the red arrow (it will lead you to the store).
DeleteI will try that. I guess my newness is showing. I expected to be in front of the store. I did search The Little Sideshow looking for the store but was just annoyed by that red arrow and clicked it closed. Guess I should pay more attention to it.

#9 has been contacted to place the hunt object back. She has been working on the sim and might have removed it accidentally

DeleteI already contacted the store owner and she assured me that she will correct it. Till it is fixed I´m going to give you an extra hint (because now I realized what happened. She moved the wall for some reason): The wall got me inside!

DeleteI thought I saw it the first time I went there, but that time I just went into the store. The second time I did not enter the store but only saw the poster for the blue snowflake hunt outside and since that was the only icon I found on my first inside look, I did not re-enter the store. I will give it another try.
DeleteOh, now I see my error. There are TWO Dahllywood stores. And, neither time did I go to the correct one. The incorrect one is in a storefront with other stores. The correct one is a free-standing store. The URL dropped me into the center square of the shopping area and I chose the wrong store.

DeleteHunt location #25: RioLearn Gardens URL places me underwater. A search showed that this location belongs to Rio Salado College and no longer seems to exist. Per search "This group is for managing and using RioLearn Gardens, an island dedicated for the CIS280 Second Life course at Rio Salado College." My guess is the course is over.

DeleteHunt location #32: XY Stuff URL drops me into the water - under water! A search found no in-world location. Is this also a marketplace site?
ReplyDeleteGoing to try out marketplace to see if I can figure out how to do the hunt there.
Overall, this hunt so far has been chaotic. URL issues...numbers screwed up royally (gift numbers not matching hunt location numbers)...marketplace hunt not fully explained. Out of the URLs that I found operative for in-world (23), I have been able to find gifts at 18. Not too bad, but, since I like to finish hunts, this has been a frustrating one.
Stores move and objects are removed when designers remodel their stores. I always ask for designers and hunters to tell me when something changes or aren´t right. I check the hunt slurls one by one before it starts. The numbers are screwed and I talk about that in the top of the list because 3 stores have been excluded from this hunt. Besides you only a person contacted me with one store issue and I corrected it right away.
DeleteYes, I did note that you mentioned 3 stores not responding and messing up the numbers. However, 5 numbers were missed. It is possible two of them are for stores I have not yet found the prize for where the URL was not working. I will re-visit this hunt.
DeleteMy comment about the marketplace hunt not being fully explained was after my effort at Sweet Dreams, where I scrolled through her 25+ pages of product. However, I was not smart enough to know to compare her products with the gift picture, duh! I will return to marketplace later and try again.
Ok, I figured out what was the problem. On top of the marketplace page you have to click where it says Show maturity levels and from the list chose General, Moderate, Adult. Then click on search so the store can show you the full store items. And you should see it there.
DeleteLast post. Went to marketplace and looked for all stores with marketplace URLs as well as those not found in-world. TRS Designs does not exist. Sweet Dreams - no star. JR Wolf Creations - no star. White Angel Creation - found female gift, did not search for male gift. Q-Essentials does not exist. Indolent - gift obtained. XY Stuff - no star.

TRS stores changed to another place and already got her new slurl from her profile. Sweet Dreams have been contacted. JR Wolf Creations has a star in the store (I saw it clearly when I landed in there). White Angel Creations have been contacted because of the male gift. Q-Essentials do exist. XY Stuff star is there too.
DeleteI will go back to In-world regarding above missed stores...and marketplace. The stores listed in this post were ones I checked only on marketplace; so, if the in-world URLs are working, there may be stars in those stores. I will re-check. Thank you for the prompt responses.
DeleteAnything wrong please let me know. I checked slurls in the beginning of the hunt but as much as I try there are always RL issues that doesn´t allow people to get in SL. I always thank when someone points me something wrong because that way I can try to fix it. :)

DeleteI must admit that this hunt has moved up in my estimation as I have learned many things not before known about operating in SL during this hunt. I now know how to use the map with my coordinates, how to hunt in skyboxes and in marketplace, and am a generally better hunter for all the things I have learned about getting around SL. I have ended up with three items not found...but there are a few more days yet to hunt.
